The kids have been waiting very patiently to see the giant pandas and this weekend we took them bright and early, and were in line before the zoo opened. Despite our early arrival there were many photographers and families all wanting to get a better look. I settled with seeing this panda outdoors with it’s back to us. Maybe once the hype has settled down a bit we will head back early one weekday morning, I’m sure the kids won’t mind
I can’t believe my precious little girl is 4 already! (well actually her birthday was last week) Where has the time gone? She will be starting full day kindergarten in September and she can’t wait.
It was such a beautiful and hot here (I wish I had worn shorts!) that I didn’t want us to be cooped up inside all day. So after Zachary woke from his morning nap, I asked the kids where they would like to go, after some umming and arghing we settled on The Toronto Zoo.
There is currently a lot of construction going on as they prepare to publicly welcome the pandas in a few weeks time. Kids are super excited about this and can’t wait to see them.
I really like this zoo, but do have a slight problem with their Australasia pavillion, I feel that the rock or swamp wallabies, wombat and echidna are not given enough space, they all share one enclosure!!! I admit these are not big animals, but they are not small either. Anyway, besides that this is an excellent zoo with many animals, lots of volunteers, many events and a very popular children’s zone.
I was very excited when a friend requested a custom order to compliment her daughter’s flower girl dress.
I had so much fun picking out fabrics and playing around with them to create many different styles of flowers.
Because of this we are now designing and creating flowers for all your formal needs from babies up to adults.
I have updated our facebook page and will be updating our online store with these items either tonight or tomorrow.
For now I think I will head outside and enjoy this beautiful afternoon with my kids
Well, my night did not go as planned, instead of trying to clean the disaster that is my craft area, I ended up making my very first velcro belt. Please excuse the the stitching, white thread would have been a better choice and it could certainly be cleaned up a bit, but all things considering, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. Miss Hailey is going to love this with the fairies on it
So new items you can look out for toward the end of summer/beginning of fall is velcro belts for both girls and boys. In the meantime I will be perfecting my sewing and gathering supplies.
Back in November Nina won a fantastic night out for herself and 3 friends courtesy of John Frieda Frizz Ease. The night included hair and makeup, one night stay at The Royal York, gift baskets of products valued at $500, entrance to club, $100 gift certificate for new outfit, and prepaid bar tab at club.

We had a fantastic time
We had a video taken the entire time we had hair and make up done and they have finally edited it and posted it to their facebook page (link above). The video features Nina in most of it, I’m at the very end.
